7 Years And Counting…

It was 7 years ago today that I started this blog on WordPress.  I started blogging as an alternative to journaling.  (I was never good at journaling, and I’m not sure I’m much better at blogging!) At the time, I was going through a very difficult time in life.  I was in an abusive marriage and I was looking for a way to express myself without having to deal with another human being who was not listening to me.  I had been through counseling with various pastors and biblical counselors, some of whom blamed me for my the abuse I suffered.  So, I poured my heart out in many blog posts on this very blog site.

As the years have passed, and the LORD has done great healing my heart, mind and life, I am looking toward picking up this blog again on a regular basis.  This time, not necessarily to use as a balm to soothe the ache in my heart, but as a tool to bless the lives of those who would read it.  I would love to bless the lives of heartbroken men and women who have gone through some of the painful issues of life, some of the things that I have experienced, and share with them some of the resources that the LORD provided for me to make it through.  I believe that I am called to encourage the believers just like Peter was called to witness to the Jews (Galatians 2:8).

I learned, during my particular trial, that there are not many ministries out there that deal with the kind of issues that I dealt with in my marriage and family life.  I would like to provide that encouragement and see where the LORD takes that encouragement.  He may use it in a broader scope, He may not; it does not matter to me…the only thing that does matter is that I am able to help the body of Christ as we await the return of our Savior.

If you read my blog, please leave me a message.  I would love to be in touch with you and encourage you in your walk with the LORD.  If you do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ, leave me a message also.  I would love to walk you through how to become a part of the body of Christ, seeing you taken off the broad road that leads to destruction and placed on the narrow road that leads to life.

God bless you!
